On November 15, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) was formally signed. The FTA covers more than 3.5 billion people, accounting for 47.4% of the world's total, 32.2% of the world's GDP, and 29.1% of the world's total foreign trade. It is the fta negotiation with the largest population and the greatest potential in the world.

Analysts pointed out that for the industry, with the active trade in the RCEP region, the port and shipping sector, which has suffered from slow global economic growth and trade conflicts in the past few years, will see a turnaround. The RCEP agreement will accelerate the free flow of goods trade within the region, and the port and shipping sector will embrace a new engine of growth. In addition to the port and shipping-related beneficiary sectors, the signing of RCEP will also promote China's export of light industrial products in the region, as well as cross-border e-commerce, textile, clothing, home appliances and toy industries.
