On the afternoon of June 17th, the "New Opportunities for Cross-border Trade, New Future for Textiles - Cross-border E-commerce Empowering the Upgrading of the Textile and Garment Industry" theme forum, hosted by the Ningbo Garment Association, organized by Ningbo Dongbo Exhibition Co., LTD., and co-organized by the Ningbo Cross-border E-commerce Association, was held at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. Against the backdrop of the Sino-US trade war and the reconfiguration of the global supply chain, cross-border e-commerce has become the key to breaking through the industrial deadlock. The association will focus on the three major directions of digitalization, greenization and internationalization, and join hands with cross-border e-commerce associations, universities and research institutions to provide full-chain services for enterprises. He called on the textile and garment practitioners in Ningbo to take innovation as the driving force and take advantage of the cross-border e-commerce trend to expand the global market.
At the forum, three senior experts in the field of going global shared their in-depth insights on how cross-border e-commerce can empower industrial upgrading. Xie Shangwei, the secretary-general of the Ningbo Cross-border E-commerce Association, analyzed the new paths for enterprises to go global under the backdrop of the Sino-US trade war, and proposed the integration of "China's foreign trade + new retail in the destination country", the combination of the "Pengcheng/Ningbo" model, and the in-depth cultivation of brand and compliance and other "five-ization" operations to promote the upgrading of the industry from goods trade to brand going global and service trade.
