Polyester thermal fuse is mixed with ordinary polyester or other fibers to produce non-woven fabrics or knitted or woven thermal adhesive fiber products, with soft feel, high strength, washable, crisp, easy to manage, no environmental pollution and other characteristics.
Characteristics of polyester thermal fuse:
1. High strength. The strength of short fiber is 2.6 ~ 5.7cN/dtex, and that of high strength fiber is 5.6 ~ 8.0cN/dtex. Because of its low hygroscopic property, its wet strength is basically the same as that of dry strength. Impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon, 20 times higher than viscose fiber.
2. Good elasticity. The elasticity is close to wool, and can be recovered when the elongation is 5% ~ 6%. Wrinkle resistance to other fibers, fabric does not wrinkle, dimensional stability is good. The modulus of elasticity is 22 ~ 141cN/dtex, which is 2 ~ 3 times higher than that of nylon. Polyester fabric has high strength and resilience, so it is fast, durable, wrinkle resistant and free of ironing.
3. Heat resistant polyester is made by melt spinning, the formed fiber can be heated and melted again, belonging to thermoplastic fiber. The melting point of polyester is relatively high, and the specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity are smaller, so the heat resistance and heat insulation of polyester fiber are higher. It is the better of synthetic fibers.
4. Good thermoplasticity, poor fusible resistance. Due to its smooth surface and tight internal molecular arrangement, polyester is a material with better heat resistance among synthetic fiber fabrics. It has thermoplasticity, can be made into pleated skirts, and pleats. At the same time, polyester fabric has poor melting resistance, and it is easy to form holes when it meets soot and sparks. Therefore, wear should try to avoid contact with cigarette butts, sparks and so on.
5. Good wear resistance. The wear resistance is inferior to that of nylon with better wear resistance, which is better than other fibers and synthetic fibers.
