Hot fuse, also known as low melting point fiber, is one of the functional fibers developed rapidly in recent years.
Polyester thermal fuse has easy melting point, low melting point, good adhesion, low melting point, thermoplasticity and self-viscosity. When heated to a certain temperature, it will soften and melt into a viscous fluid with certain fluidity, and then resolidify into a solid after cooling.
Characteristics of polyester thermal fuse:
1. High strength. The strength of short fiber is 2.6 ~ 5.7CN /dtex, and that of high strength fiber is 5.6 ~ 8.0CN /dtex. Because of its low hygroscopicity, its wet strength and dry strength are basically the same. Impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon, 20 times higher than viscose fiber.
2. Good elasticity. The elasticity is close to wool, and can be recovered when elongation is 5% ~ 6%. Crease resistance is better than other fibers, fabric does not crease, good dimensional stability. The elastic modulus is 22 ~ 141cN/dtex, which is 2 ~ 3 times higher than nylon. Polyester fabric has high strength and elastic recovery ability, therefore, it is durable, wrinkle resistant and ironing free.
3. Heat-resistant polyester is made by melting spinning, and the formed fiber can be melted again by heating, which belongs to thermoplastic fiber. The melting point of polyester is relatively high, and the specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity are small, so the heat resistance and thermal insulation of polyester fiber is higher. It's one of the better synthetic fibers.
4. Good thermoplasticity, poor melting resistance. Because of its smooth surface and close arrangement of internal molecules, polyester is the most heat-resistant fabric in synthetic fiber fabrics. It is thermoplastic and can be made into pleated skirts and pleats. At the same time, polyester fabric has poor fusing resistance, and it is easy to form holes when encountering soot and sparks. Therefore, when wearing should try to avoid contact with cigarette butts, sparks, etc.
5. Good wear resistance. Wear resistance is inferior to nylon with better wear resistance, better than other fibers and synthetic fibers.
Polyester thermal fuse is widely used in flying uppers, Chenille yarn, high-grade lining, pants mouth paste, knitted hat, Bundy thread, socks and shoes.
