On January 23rd, the 2025 Annual Work Summary Conference of the China Textile Industry Federation was held in Beijing. The conference conducted an in-depth analysis of the economic operation of the textile industry in 2025, and made predictions and outlooks for the industry's trends in 2026. Relevant industry associations introduced the economic operation of their respective fields in 2025 and summarized the key work of their associations. The relevant departments of the Federation introduced the latest developments in their professional fields. 

The president of the China Textile Industry Federation, Sun Ruizhe, the former president Du Yuzhou, along with the vice presidents Xia Lemin, Xu Yingxin, Chen Dapeng, Li Lingshen, Duan Xiaoping, Yang Zhaohua, Liang Pengcheng, Zhu Chao, the member of the expert advisory committee Cao Xuejun, the members of the supervisory board, as well as the main responsible persons of various departments and units, attended this conference. 

The morning meeting was chaired by Duan Xiaoping, the vice president of the China Textile Association. The afternoon meeting was chaired by Xia Lemin, the secretary-general of the China Textile Association. 

Zhang Qian, the director of the Planning and Research Department of the Industry Division of the China Textile Association, analyzed the global economic and trade environment in 2025, the economic operation characteristics of the textile industry in 2025, and the outlook for the domestic and export situations of the textile industry in 2026. She stated that in 2025, the uncertainty of the global economic environment further increased, and the global economy slowed down under the background of strong supply and weak demand. The Chinese economy operated under pressure but towards new directions and improvements. In 2025, the operation of the textile industry generally presented the characteristics of low-speed growth in production, good growth in investment, moderate growth in domestic sales, the emergence of "new" economic vitality, stable but under pressure export, and significant operating pressure. Although the supply side of China's textile industry performed well, domestic sales still faced pressure, and the difficulty of participating in international competition for textile products and clothing overall increased. Looking forward to 2026, China's macroeconomy has a combined momentum of resilience, and the large domestic demand market and strong policy support will provide stable driving force for industry development, but consumer demand is weak, exports face multiple pressures, and the textile industry will still move forward under heavy burdens.
