Recently, an expert exchange activity for the textile and footwear apparel industry in Fujian Province was held at Minjiang University in Fuzhou. Organized by the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the event aimed to implement the spirit of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the provincial committee's plenary session, and to pool industry wisdom to deeply explore and solidify the path for high-quality development of the industry. 

The event invited Chen Qinghua, the executive deputy head of the Special Advisory Expert Group for the Provincial Textile and Footwear Industry Chain, Chen Nanliang, the former vice president of East China University of Technology, as well as experts from universities, associations and enterprises to attend. As a traditional advantageous industry, Fujian's textile and footwear sector has formed a complete chain from "a single thread to a piece of clothing, a pair of shoes". From January to November 2025, the added value of the textile industry increased by 4.8% (exceeding the national average by 3.1 percentage points), while the leather and footwear industries increased by 4.2% (exceeding the national average by 6.3 percentage points), demonstrating strong resilience. 

The participants concentrated on studying the relevant meeting resolutions. The Fujian Textile and Apparel Industry Association presented the progress of the "15-19" development research. Experts conducted in-depth discussions on strengthening strengths, making up for weaknesses, and enhancing weak points, and offered suggestions and advice on 2026 work from aspects such as strengthening the chain and the link, green transformation, and technological research and development.
